NEW DELHI: A voter standing in queue at a sales space in Sitalkuchi, Coochbehar was killed in firing on Saturday morning.
He has been recognized as Ananda Burman (18), a first-time voter.
It continues to be not clear who fired the shot that struck Burman.
Clashes erupted between Trinamool and BJP supporters quickly after the incident, and extra police and RAF personnel needed to be deployed within the space.
Crude bombs have been hurled, and forces needed to lathi-charge to manage the state of affairs.

BJP and TMC traded fees following Burman’s loss of life in firing.
TMC chief and Natabari constituency candidate Rabindra Nath Ghosh alleged that the BJP staff have been behind the killing.
Dismissing Ghosh’s declare, Sitalkuchi’s BJP candidate Baren Chandra Barman stated that the deceased was the celebration’s polling agent on the sales space and TMC activists have been behind the homicide.
