The group of eminent individuals additionally alleged that the federal government “seems to have reneged on its moral and constitutional responsibilities”, and repeated the opposition cost that the Union has outsourced procurement of vaccines to states, leading to “differential and exorbitant rates”.
“What is especially nauseating is that amidst this chaos, there is an attempt to hide and obfuscate the gravity of the situation, while governments harass journalists and citizens for speaking the truth,” they stated.
The group’s eight-point suggestion to the opposition events stated they need to help residents and civil society teams of their efforts, put together upfront for a potential third wave by arranging for momentary hospitals, ambulances, oxygen provides and different gear, step up demand without cost and common vaccination, revamp the general public well being infrastructure and cap costs of medicines and personal healthcare no less than in opposition-ruled states.
