It was on October 1, 2020, that indefinite protests had began in Punjab, first at railway tracks, toll plazas and enterprise institutions of some company homes after which on the residences of some BJP leaders. The protests are happening at 70 to 80 locations in Punjab aside from those on the Delhi borders.
Panchayats of no less than 5 villages in Malwa area of Punjab handed resolutions that every family has to ship no less than one male member for every week to the protest websites in Delhi.
Avtar Singh, sarpanch of Kararwala village in Bathinda district, stated all the village had given the decision for help in a voice vote. Villagers, he stated, determined family must pay Rs 2,100 to the panchayat if no member goes for the protests.
Karnail Singh, sarpanch of Sivian village in Kotkapura block of Faridkot district, stated villagers unanimously determined to ship a member from each family for the protest and set a fantastic of Rs 500 for non-participation.
The panchayat of Thikriwal village in Barnala district, native village of freedom fighter Sewa Singh Thikriwal, too handed such a decision. A 25-member jatha will go away the village usually, stated sarpanch Mohinder Singh.
Likewise, the gram panchayats of Barey village in Budhlada block of Mansa and panchayat of Natheha village in Bathinda district too handed resolutions, asking residents to succeed in Delhi borders in help of protesting farmers.
