NEW DELHI: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Monday held PM Narendra Modi answerable for the second wave of the coronavirus in India.
“Why didn’t you (PM) make plans to stop corona in the last 6 months?… You have to answer this. Prime Minister is responsible for second wave of Covid-19,” stated Mamata, whereas addressing the media over the Covid scenario within the state.
Mamata additional stated If the PM would have taken accountability at proper time, then this (second wave) would not have occurred.
The West Bengal CM additionally as soon as once more requested Election Commission to bundle the remaining phases in Bengal to a single section because of the coronavirus.
“With folded hands, I request Election Commission to hold three phases of polls on a single day or in two days. Please don’t play with the lives of people,” stated Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee in Chakulia, Uttar Dinajpur.
“Please don’t take your decision based on what the BJP says… Please ensure that you protect public health by curtailing the poll schedule, even if it is by one day,” the TMC supremo stated.
