NEW DELHI: Agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Wednesday mentioned that the federal government is prepared for a dialogue on the time and date chosen by farmers’ unions. The Union minister additionally urged them to tell him on what they need to “add and subtract” from the federal government’s proposal on the farm legal guidelines.
“I am hopeful that farmers’ unions will discuss our request. Whatever they want to add and subtract from the government’s proposal, they should tell us. We are ready for a discussion at the time and date of their convenience. I hope they will give us a date and we will find resolutions. I am hopeful of a solution,” Tomar mentioned in his handle on Kisan Diwas.
“I request unions that they should understand the intentions of the laws and let government know about their objections. History is witness that every revolution has culminated in talks. We have a democracy,” he added.
The Central authorities on Sunday invited farmer leaders for a contemporary spherical of talks amid makes an attempt to finish the agitation. The authorities has held a number of rounds of talks with the farmers up to now and up to now.

Hundreds of farmers are protesting on the borders of Delhi since November 26 in opposition to the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020; and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
