KOLKATA: BJP chief Shahnawaz Hussain alleged that stones had been pelted at him in Howrah on Tuesday night time when he was campaigning for the West Bengal meeting election. The BJP chief posted on social media a video by which he was seen exhibiting two stones to the officer on obligation and blaming the TMC for the alleged incident.
“TMC workers pelted stones on me while I was addressing a meeting at Muzzafar Chowk,” Hussain tweeted, saying he was protected and the occasion employees had lodged a criticism.

“It’s clear that TMC knew it is losing and hence is becoming desperate,” Hussain stated. “I actually went to the Golabari Police Station & requested them why police personnel weren’t deployed in keeping with my Y + CRPF cowl safety protocol. Strangely, they’d no solutions for that.”
In his criticism, Umesh Rai, the BJP candidate from Howrah North, named few individuals behind the assault, alleging they had been all identified TMC males within the space.
Police confirmed the lodging of the FIR and go to of Hussain to the station, including that the alleged incident was being investigated.
The TMC denied any involvement of its employees and stated the BJP was staging a “drama” to get consideration because the roadshows and conferences of the saffron occasion had been “failing” to attract crowds.
Earlier on Sunday, a roadshow attended by Hussain and Domjur meeting candidate Rajib Banerjee was stopped by police at Bankra space on the bottom that there was no earlier permission.
Both Banerjee and Hussain had protested the motion of police.
